Nicholas's production was seen by Barry Harman (lyrics and libretto) who wrote to him, “I just wanted to reiterate how much we enjoyed your production of ROMANCE/ROMANCE. I've seen many, many productions, and so often directors and or performers miss the point entirely, so each time I am watching a new production I begin watching with some trepidation. I was delighted to see how firmly both you, as a director, and your performers grasped the material and ran with it. The two leads in the first act took us on a delightful journey, and I was especially glad to see the 2nd Act being so well-limbed, by all four of the ensemble.”
